Berlin, June 12, 2024. dots Software, a subsidiary of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Deutschland, today released Version 10 of its print workflow solution, AccurioPro Flux. This version is the first to contain the command line tool pdfChip as well as additional functionality from pdfToolbox – both solutions provided by developer callas software. As a result, users will enjoy better performance when producing print files and an optimized layout export process.
The software solution AccurioPro Flux now helps over 4,000 businesses worldwide to optimize their print workflows. It focuses on prepress, automation, team collaboration, integration and web-to-print functionality. The solution has included pdfToolbox technology from callas software for many years now in the form of callas Preflight Profiles for automatically validating and optimizing print files.
For version 10 of AccurioPro Flux, which is available now, dots Software has expanded the range of tasks that pdfToolbox can handle and integrated callas pdfChip. This has significantly improved imposition speed and optimized file processing. The time required to produce print files has been dramatically reduced, particularly for documents with high page counts.
callas’ technology also enables more efficient processing of imported PDF/VT-1 files during imposition. Moreover, when generating PDF files with variable data in AccurioPro Flux, recurring PDF content blocks are reused consistently, minimizing print file sizes and substantially reducing printers’ RIP processing time. Meanwhile, the integrated callas technology in AccurioPro Flux improves the layout export process, including dielines and varnish layers (defined in the print PDF as spot colors), enabling seamless further processing or finishing of the printed product.
Other additions in AccurioPro Flux 10
AccurioPro Flux 10 also features a redesigned webshop with new functions and an improved ordering flow. Printers can offer their customers a fast and convenient range of ordering options that are fully integrated into their production processes. AccurioPro Flux now also supports the digital sheet-fed inkjet printing system AccurioJet KM-1 from Konica Minolta, and offers a range of new imposition options for book printing. Finally, the new Flux Barcode Pro option gives users access to numerous barcode formats that can be inserted as (variable) page content in print files or used to control finishing devices on the printed sheet.
