Berlin, May 7, 2010 - Using the pdfaPilot, even users who work with OpenOffice can now convert their documents to PDF/A. callas software has developed the functions of their flagship product to meet these needs. pdfaPilot 2.2 not only supports all OpenOffice's own formats but also supports other formats that can be processed using open-source office software.

callas software has further developed the functionality of its flagship product pdfaPilot and integrated it into the new version 2.1. pdfaPilot now also converts documents, spreadsheets and presentations created within Microsoft Office, rule compliant to PDF/A.

The new callas pdfaPilot goes beyond its core archiving and offers first-in-industry XMP Metadata Extension Schema Editor.
